After over a year of input surveys, community outreach booths, meetings, free safety classes, and more, La Puente's first Active Transportation Plan is now in final draft form!
The plan proposes areas strategies and improvements to make the City of La Puente safer and easier for people of all ages to get around on foot, bike, skate, and other forms of healthy, active transportation.
Maps of proposed improvements for rolling modes (e.g., bikes, scooters, skateboards) and pedestrians can be seen above and below. The La Puente Chapter of the larger, 5-city regional plan can also be viewed below.
On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, the La Puente City Council will receive a formal presentation about the plan at their regular meeting (7pm start time). Members of the public are welcome to provide feedback or submit comments regarding the plan in person at the meeting or via email. Emailed comments or feedback may be submitted to the City Council directly here:
If you have any questions about the draft plan, the 2/26 Council Meeting, or how to provide feedback, please contact Andrew Fung Yip (andrew@activeSGV.org), who will be attending the meeting in person.
